Coaches: Ty Gainey, Hitting!: Ty is an Ex Astro pro and rated rookie in "86". Ty is unbelievable at teaching the kids hitting. We are thrilled to have him here on Sundays helping the kids learn the correct form so that they can get going early. If you want to add power to your game Ty is the Guy. Rotational hitting, pivot and power all add up to a great season. Brian Honeycutt, Pitching: Brian is a 13th round draft pick for the Minnesota Twins organization. Brian was the local flame thrower from William Penn High School that made it to the Show. Brian was part of the Rookie league championship team in 84 and was invited to the Winter League in Clearwater where he was coached by Charles Manuel. After baseball Brian came back and started to coach locally. After 15 years of coaching locally Brian has now joined All American Sports Academy as a pitching coach for all ages of players. Brian known for his championship teams in Brookside, CAA, and helped the Pike Creek Christian team go from a 2 -11 record to a 12-2 record in one year. Most recently, Brian has been managing and coaching the Delaware Warriors travel ball program. Brian and the players have had a great record including wins at the Temple, St Joes, and Villanova tournaments. We are happy to have Brian here helping take the players to the next level all the while teaching the kids to be safe with there arms thru the use of proper technique and development. Please join us in welcoming Brian, stop in to meet him soon. We are very please to announce our association with Pioneer Lacrosse. Bob and Adam are very talented ex-pro Lacrosse players as well as pro management coaches for Lacrosse. This association will bring to the "Academy" a new sport and another step in "All American Sports Academy" quest in being the #1 training facility in the area. It doesn't matter what sport, we are striving to bring to the area the finest list of coaches that can be found. Having said that please let me introduce Pioneer Lacrosse!
Bob DiIonnoBob is currently the assistant varsity coach at Avon Grove H.S. and Director of the Avon Grove Wildcats youth lacrosse organization. Bob coached the Neumann College men's and women's teams and as the inaugural Head Women's coach, he compiled a 55-11 record, four consecutive conference playoffs, produced five regional All-Americans and was voted coach of the year during his tenure. Prior to his four years at the collegiate level, he was the Head Girls lacrosse coach at Chichester H.S. for 8 seasons and assistant boys lacrosse coach at Chatham H.S. in New Jersey. From his days back at East Stroudsburg University where he was team captain to his many club field and box lacrosse teams, Bob brings over twenty years of playing and nineteen years of coaching experience. A teacher for eighteen years, Bob is the head of the Chichester H.S. Physical Education department and has been heavily involved in writing youth curriculums for sports, strength training and Physical Education. Director of Pioneer Lacrosse Co.
Adam MuellerIn 2008 former New York Titans head coach Adam Mueller was given the "Les Bartley Award" for Coach of the Year by the National Lacrosse League. In only their second season in the NLL, Mueller has led the upstart New York Titans to a 10-6 regular season record and their first ever appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals. Spending 19 seasons in the National Lacrosse League, Mueller joined the Titans after two successful seasons coaching the expansion team Minnesota Swarm. He was the assistant coach for the Swarm when it first joined the league in 2005. As Head Coach of the Swarm in 2006, Mueller led the club to an 8-8 record and to the playoff's for the first time in team history. Mueller began his Head Coaching career with the Philadelphia Wings and coached the team for three seasons from 2002-04, compiling a 23-25 record and one playoff appearance. In his second year as an assistant coach for the Wings, Mueller helped lead Philadelphia to a 10-4 record and an NLL Championship in 2001. Mueller becomes the first head coach in league history to lead three different teams to the post-season. He previously earned playoff berths as head coach of Minnesota (2006) and Philadelphia (2002). Director of Pioneer lacrosse Co. A North Brunswick, New Jersey native, Mueller is a former player in the league, playing 75 career games over ten seasons from 1990-2000. He totaled 119 points on 50 goals and 69 assists and collected 259 loose balls in his career. Mueller played with Detroit (1990-94), Baltimore (1995-96), Philadelphia (1997-99) and Albany (2000) and has been a member of three NLL Championship teams, including two as a player with Detroit (1991) and Philadelphia (1998), and one as an assistant coach with the Wings (2001). Adam, is a former Michigan State standout and currently coaches the Avon Grove Wildcats youth teams.

Derrick May Derrick May has been in Professional baseball for 23 years as a player and coach. After accepting a scholarship to play football and baseball at Virginia Tech, May was drafted in the 1st round (9th) of the 1986 draft by the Chicago Cubs. May was signed at age 17. After 41/2 years in the minor leagues May enjoyed and career in which he spent 10 years in the Majors and had a .271 lifetime average with the Cubs, Brewers, Astros, Phillies, Expos and Orioles. Later May went on to play in Japan for the Chiba Lotte Marines where he played for 3 years. Presently, Derrick works for the St. Louis Cardinals as their Double A hitting coach. May has worked with many of the Cardinals future and present stars since 2005. Derrick's father Dave also played Major League Baseball for 12 years for the Orioles, Brewers, Braves, Rangers and Pirates. Derrick's brother Dave Jr. is the East Coast Supervisor for the Seattle Mariners. "Sports Performance Group trainers": Jason Beaulieu, CSCS, USAW Head Strength and Conditioning Coach- University of Delaware Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association United States Weight lifting Federation Coach Former Director Velocity Sports Performance. Has over 12 years of experience in working with athletes of all ages and skill levels. Mr. Beaulieu is the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Delaware where he helps in the development of human performance for over 400 athletes. Prior to this he was the Director of Athlete Development and Co-owner of Velocity Sports Performance in Alexandria, Virginia. His comprehensive training programs are designed using scientific and proven training methodologies to progressively develop an athlete and help reduce the risk of injury while improving performance over the course of an athlete's career. It is his goal to promote and create an atmosphere that is conducive to the mental and physical development of each student/athlete that he trains. Michael Higgins PhD, ATC/PT, CSCS PhD- Biomechanics and Movement Sciences - University of Delaware Physical Therapist for 18 years Athletic Trainer for 18 years Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Director Athletic Training Education Program - Towson University. Dr. Higgins is the Director of the Athletic Training Education Program at Towson University. Prior to this he worked at the University of Delaware as an Associate Athletic Trainer and Assistant professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science. He has over 18 years of experience working with athletes of all ages and skill levels. Dr. Higgins spent 7 seasons as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Delaware Men's lacrosse and men's basketball teams. He has spoken regionally and nationally on core stability and training techniques to prevent injury and increase performance. |
